Eat Eat Madness

3 weeks in a row, every Saturday, I was at Sushi Zanmai!!!

AND

2 weeks in a row, every Sunday, I was at Izzi Restaurant!!

The most wonderful thing in this world is to be able to savour food, especially yummy food!!!
But is this too much? :p

Sushi Zanmai outlets : The Gardens, One Utama and Sunway Pyramid.
I went to each outlet every week.
Personally, the experience and the food at One Utama and Sunway Pyramid are better!

The Izzi Restaurant outlets : Bukit Bintang (near to Lot 10) and Damansara Uptown.
They are now having 75% OFF crazy credit crunch menu promotion.
This is also the reason why we went for it 2 Sundays in a row!!

出游记 A Road Trip

Kuantan, I am coming :)

Terry Fox Run Kuala Lumpur 2008

Last Sunday morning, I went for Terry Fox Run Kuala Lumpur with my mum and a friend of mine, PG.
This was the first time I join this event.
I got to know about it when I saw the news feed of my cousin, TP in Facebook.
I was curious, so I checked out the event. And tada, It was a good-for-health-exercise event, so I decided to join :p

Many people took part in the run and I have some photos to show you :)

We bought the t-shirt on the spot, so we have to find a spot to change.
Public toilet is no where to be seen.
Many people opted for this nearby little hut, including us Muahaha
(Btw, this little hut and some other facilities are the remainings of the The Malaysia International Landscape & Garden Festival 2008)

Waiting for the run to start.
By the way, we didn't run, we walked :)

PG and me, with the official t-shirt.
Donate RM25 and you can have this t-shirt :)

1,2,3!!!
Let's run!!!
Ops, not running huh, let's walk :p

When we finished the walk, we met TP again.
We met her once before the run was flag off.
真有缘分 :)
TP brought us for hot chilli mee 辣椒板面.
It was so so so yummy!!!
Thanks TP for the breakfast :)
To know more about Terry Fox, continue reading ya :)

The information below is taken from http://www.terryfoxrun.org/

Who is Terry Fox?

Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, a community near Vancouver on Canada's west coast. An active teenager involved in many sports, Terry was only 18 years old when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) and forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimetres (six inches) above the knee in 1977.
While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope.
After 18 months and running over 5,000 kilometres (3,107 miles) to prepare, Terry started his run in St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 12, 1980 with little fanfare. Although it was difficult to garner attention in the beginning, enthusiasm soon grew, and the money collected along his route began to mount. He ran 42 kilometres (26 miles) a day through Canada's Atlantic provinces, Quebec and Ontario.
It was a journey that Canadians never forgot.
However, on September 1st, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 miles), Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario because cancer had appeared in his lungs. An entire nation was stunned and saddened. Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at age 22.
The heroic Canadian was gone, but his legacy was just beginning.
To date, more than $400 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name through the annual Terry Fox Run, held across Canada and around the world.

What is Terry Fox Foundation and Terry Fox Run?

The first annual Terry Fox Run in 1981 was organized in conjunction with the Canadian Cancer Society. In 1988, The Terry Fox Foundation became a Trust, independent of the Canadian Cancer Society, and received tax-exempt charitable status under the Income Tax Act. All money raised by the Foundation is distributed through the National Cancer Institute of Canada.
There is one national, nine provincial offices and one international Foundation office.
Currently, 87 cents of every dollar raised goes to fund cancer research.

Kota Kinabalu Day 1

Malaysian International Fireworks Competition 2008

Luckily the weather was clear when we arrived Putrajaya last night around 8.45pm.
We parked the car by roadside and walked towards the crowd.
Seriuosly I don't know which direction to capture the fireworks, I just followed the people :p

When I saw some people getting ready with their tripods and cameras at certain spots, I was pretty sure that they have came here before during previous days competition and they knew the perfect spot to watch the fireworks.
We settled at the small open area beside Jambatan Seri Saujana.
It was windy and we have great time waiting while munching some snacks :p

The show began at 10pm sharp.
The crowd started to cheer when they saw the first glimpse of fireworks 'shooting' up into the sky just above the PICC (Putrajaya International Convention Centre).

Overall, our chosen spot was ok, just that we were not able to see those lower range fireworks and of course we can't hear the music + can't feel the impact very well as we were far from the lauching spot.

Beginning part of the show.
You will be able to see smiley face and flower pattern of fireworks.

Time to show you some pictures :)
The following pictures were with 'hand-shaking effects' haha coz I didn't use the tripod.
I was standing and holding my hands up to capture these pictures.

Actually my hand didn't really shake lor, just that in order ot take a nice pictures, you need to be extra steady or use a tripod under this circumstance.

Why so many letter R? Somemore upside down geh?

Haha somehow I think these 'not-so-clear' pictures show me another type of beautiness of the fireworks :D

Classic fireworks pattern.

Coconut trees flying in the sky!

More coconut trees, this time with two balls attached ;)

Lots of spiders crawling in the sky... Eerie...

Distorted pattern :p

Okay enough of these 'hand-shaking' effects pictures.
Pardon me.

I started to get some nice pictures after that.
I was squating when I took the following pictures.
Perhaps this reduced the hand shake and I managed to get clearer pictures.

This is fabulous (I personally think la :p)

The middle part of the show.
Click the video and have a look of the Sunflower-pattern fireworks.

More fireworks.

And more...

Awesome!

The core of the two fireworks in the middle is so intense.

You know the show is going to end soon when you see all this big big fireworks coming out
non-stop.

Final 20 seconds of the show.

After the show ended, we were caught in the traffic.
A 30-minute show took us 4 hours back and flow.
