出游记 A Road Trip

Kuantan, I am coming :)

Me In White?

Actually to tell you the truth, I am pretty excited for the coming Saturday :)
I am going to become a 'ji mui' (accompanying sister for the bride) for the first time!!!

Saturday is J's wedding.
She is going to have a garden wedding ceremony at Carcosa Seri Negara.
Garden wedding!!! So nice, I havn't attend any before.
Must be very grand yet warmth.

But of course for me, a beach wedding still remain at the top of the list :)

She has got a theme and everyone of us are going to wear in WHITE.
Oh white, white dress is going to make me look fat!
And my arms sure look awful, I have dark arms you see.
However, what to do, have to lor :p

I have got myself a white dress, a pair of white heels and I am going to carry a white bag.
Ooo imagining me in all white, like a fairy perhaps *cough cough* haha

Stay tune, I am going to post some photos after the ceremony ;)

It's A Beautiful Day

Today is the 7th day of my regaining-a-healthy-body program.
I woke up around 8.15am this morning and I went to Taman Jaya for my routine 30 minutes-walk-exercise.

While I was walking, I was listening to the radio with my handphone, enjoying the morning sunshine, looking at the people around and admiring the greeneries.
I found that I am in happy mood and I really enjoy doing this by myself!

I saw a mother jogging in front of me and eventually she stopped at her husband and baby.
They were waiting for her to finish.
Before that, I saw her husband running around the park.
The mother must be taking care of the baby that time while the father was running.
What a healthy family!
I am going to do this as well if I have my own family in the future :)

Terry Fox Run Kuala Lumpur 2008

Last Sunday morning, I went for Terry Fox Run Kuala Lumpur with my mum and a friend of mine, PG.
This was the first time I join this event.
I got to know about it when I saw the news feed of my cousin, TP in Facebook.
I was curious, so I checked out the event. And tada, It was a good-for-health-exercise event, so I decided to join :p

Many people took part in the run and I have some photos to show you :)

We bought the t-shirt on the spot, so we have to find a spot to change.
Public toilet is no where to be seen.
Many people opted for this nearby little hut, including us Muahaha
(Btw, this little hut and some other facilities are the remainings of the The Malaysia International Landscape & Garden Festival 2008)

Waiting for the run to start.
By the way, we didn't run, we walked :)

PG and me, with the official t-shirt.
Donate RM25 and you can have this t-shirt :)

1,2,3!!!
Let's run!!!
Ops, not running huh, let's walk :p

When we finished the walk, we met TP again.
We met her once before the run was flag off.
真有缘分 :)
TP brought us for hot chilli mee 辣椒板面.
It was so so so yummy!!!
Thanks TP for the breakfast :)
To know more about Terry Fox, continue reading ya :)

The information below is taken from http://www.terryfoxrun.org/

Who is Terry Fox?

Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, a community near Vancouver on Canada's west coast. An active teenager involved in many sports, Terry was only 18 years old when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) and forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimetres (six inches) above the knee in 1977.
While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope.
After 18 months and running over 5,000 kilometres (3,107 miles) to prepare, Terry started his run in St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 12, 1980 with little fanfare. Although it was difficult to garner attention in the beginning, enthusiasm soon grew, and the money collected along his route began to mount. He ran 42 kilometres (26 miles) a day through Canada's Atlantic provinces, Quebec and Ontario.
It was a journey that Canadians never forgot.
However, on September 1st, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 miles), Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario because cancer had appeared in his lungs. An entire nation was stunned and saddened. Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at age 22.
The heroic Canadian was gone, but his legacy was just beginning.
To date, more than $400 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name through the annual Terry Fox Run, held across Canada and around the world.

What is Terry Fox Foundation and Terry Fox Run?

The first annual Terry Fox Run in 1981 was organized in conjunction with the Canadian Cancer Society. In 1988, The Terry Fox Foundation became a Trust, independent of the Canadian Cancer Society, and received tax-exempt charitable status under the Income Tax Act. All money raised by the Foundation is distributed through the National Cancer Institute of Canada.
There is one national, nine provincial offices and one international Foundation office.
Currently, 87 cents of every dollar raised goes to fund cancer research.

I Can Do It :)

I am starting my detoxification and weight-reducing program today!!!

It's 8.15pm now, I have just taken today's last sachet of nutritional meal.
I am drinking the last 800ml of water for today.
Just now I walked for 35 minutes at the park.
I am doing good!!!
